RC AMPLIFIER
INTRODUCTION
This is a two stage transistor amplifier with a provision for positive and negative
feedback. The amount of feedback is adjustable and with the help of this it is even possible to
make the amplifier oscillate. A 9V stabilized power is provided on the same board.
The experimental set-up has been laid down on a decorated bakelite board with an aim of
providing an easy understanding to the students. All components are well spread out for clarity
and easy repairs and replacement. The set-up is provided with a booklet, which contains its
detailed theory of operation, description, specifications, suggestions and discussion on the
various experiments that may be performed with it.
MEASURING/TESTING INSTRUMENTS REQUIRED
1. A.C. Millivoltmeter (True R.M.S. A.C. Millivoltmeter, Model: ACM-102)
2. A.F. Oscillator

Electronic amplifier

The term amplifier as used in this article can mean either a circuit (or stage) using a single active device or a complete system such as a packaged audio hi-fi amplifier.
An electronic amplifier is a device for increasing the power of a signal. It does this by taking energy from a power supply and controlling the output to match the input signal shape but with a larger amplitude. In this sense, an amplifier may be considered as modulating the output of the power supply.
There are many alternative classifications that address different aspects of amplifier designs, and they all express some particular perspective relating the design parameters to the objectives of the circuit. Amplifier design is always a compromise of numerous factors, such as cost, power consumption, real-world device imperfections, and a multitude of performance specifications. Below are several different approaches to classification:
